We provided the team with a Virtual CMO (Chief Marketing Officer), and delivered a full suite of marketing and strategy services, before taking their GymMaster solution global.


Website & Marketing services

A way to connect in an isolated world, the Bear Hunt was a NZ idea that went viral. We supported the NZ Bear Hunt with governance and marketing services, including a new website, SEO and Google advertising. Within 11 days of NZ Bear Hunt going live, 25,000 people had registered their bears on the interactive map. A NZ Herald poll later suggested that one in three New Zealanders had a bear in their window. The attention resulted in interviews with the BBC, The New York Times and many others!

App Development

Ryman manages retirement villages across New Zealand and Australia. When they contacted us they were in the process of developing a mobile application aimed at improving engagement and streamlining communication between residents, relatives and staff members. We helped to scale the development team from 10 to 50, which facilitated the delivery of a raft of new features within the app. Functionality and usage rates both saw dramatic increases, and the app even won an international award!

In recent times it has conducted a lot of M&A activity, and arrived at a point where it needed to consolidate its business. We initially conducted research to support decision-making relating to market entry and the establishment of a new brand before delivering a strategy day for their board and senior executives.

OneCall is a trusted IT consultancy based in the South Island who were initially looking to drive more inbound traffic to their website. We delivered a new website, SEO, social media management, content, a communication plan, customer and market research to help them do just that. Within 12 months SEO and content creation alone had resulted in a 20-fold increase in website impressions, and our market research enabled them to identify and enter previously untapped markets to launch into.

Opmetrix is a software company that has developed a mobile CRM solution for the FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) sector across Australia and NZ. They contacted us looking for help in managing their SEO, Google Advertising and LinkedIn advertising. We managed to reduce conversion cost by 60% while also achieving a four-fold increase in total conversions.

An interior design and retail business, Frobisher came to us while they were building a website to grow their business online and launch two international brands. By providing a full suite of marketing services, as well as being a virtual Strategy Director and advisory board member, we helped Frobisher launch in the new locations, expand their portfolio of architecture partnerships, double eCommerce sales, and increase unique visitors to the website by 44%. 


Internal Messaging

Emerge Aotearoa is a not-for-profit charitable trust that is one of New Zealand’s largest independent providers of mental health and addiction services. Traction was tasked with building an intranet to allow Emerge to quickly deliver COVID-19 communications throughout their organisation, which worked to great effect during a challenging time.
